I'm on Yaz and I'm soaking through pads every couple hours or so.
This is completely scaring me.
If I stop taking this pill after I'm done with this pack, how long am I gonna bleed for until it finally stops? I've already been bleeding heavy for a week, and it progressively gets worse each day.
The nurse tells me to tough it out until the next pack, but this bleeding cannot be normal.
I just want to stop the pill completely but if I do I don't want another zillion weeks of heavy bleeding, I don't know what to do. :(:confused::confused::confuse d::confused:

i know what you're going through is probably miserable, but honestly, for the sake of your cycle, just finish the pack. you'll have to deal with withdrawal bleeding on top of everything else.
how long have you been taking yaz?

I just started this month. People tell me it's "normal" to have this type of bleeding. Not to me it's not, spotting is normal, this gushing of blood is not... I started passing pretty decent sized clots too. My pack is basically done. I have one more active pill - and I'm not gonna bother to take it.

i'm just saying that the same exact thing happened to me when i started my birth control. i bled for 2.5 weeks straight, really heavy, soaking through my clothes at times. it could be that your hormones are too strong and you may want to try something lower dose. if you have another pack for next month, i'd go ahead and try it. but i definitely understand if it's more trouble than its worth. it's your body! i just think that you should give it a chance to equal out if it's something you really want, in terms of contraception. it eventually did for me and now my periods are superlight and i have virtually no symptoms.
good luck!
