He was taken to hospital and observed for a couple of hours and then let home.
He was given an appointment for a EEG which he had 4 weeks ago.
The EEG showed an abnorality on his frontal lobe when he was asked to breath deeply for a few minutes.
Now he's been booked in for an MRI which his hopsital consultant says is being done purely as a precautionary measure.
Obviously my wife and myself are worried sick about all of this and finding it hard to come to terms with.
My wife has a history of seizures going back to when she first started puberty but has not had a seizure for more than 15 years.
Strangely the seizure my son had also happened just as it appeared the hormones were kicking in with him as well.
Anybody know the significance of the abnrorality showing up on the EEG during the deep breathing phase of the test?

I didn't have actual abnormalities during the breathing part, but that was the only thing that caused me to go into a seizure during the test. My pulse increased as a result of the heavy breathing, and then I started twitching and then into a seizure. Though the patterns were not epileptic, it was the breathing that caused my seizure.
When mine started we started of with the cardiologist, and an EKG. Running on the treadmill I ended up having a seizure a few minutes after getting off. During my pulse broke the 200bpm mark, and stayed high for a while. As they started to unhook me, they noticed a quick drop in bpm, and then I collapsed.
Try to see if you can get an EKG and EEG at the same time, doing the exercise.
And then be careful to avoid physical exertion, and stress, which at that age will be difficult. Mine started at 18, but when I was younger I would have other problems after exercise.
Good luck! I hope things get better.
