I'm kind of freaked out right now. I was checked into the hospital and they kept me there for 5 days so they could give me steroids and also some pretty hard core antibiotics for my sinuses. I had two spinal taps in three days (the first one was unsuccessful) two MRI's, and an ultrasound because I also have nodules (that are cold, absolutely benign) in my thyroid.

I was discharged last Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and I'm still so tired! I'm normally a VERY energetic person, and I just don't understand what this whole lethargic thing is that I'm going through. I used to run 4 miles a day, I've always taken REALLY good care of myself, eat right, stay in shape, don't let myself get stressed out, and now I just have no idea what to do. I feel like I've been knocked flat on my butt!

I'm getting married in 3.5 weeks, and I don't want my fiance to have this awful blob of a person that I've become be his wife! I want to be energetic and lively and able to stand up for more than 5 minutes again!

Does this tired feeling ever go away? I'm so frustrated with myself! Am I going to be like this forever? Because I do NOT like it! I want to be my old self again :(

did a neuro give you a certain diagnosis, is this something that's been coming?

Now is the time to pamper yourself with rest. You can get through this before your wedding! I will keep you in my prayers.

I want to! Trust me! But I have a mental block against laying down during the day, haha :-) I just normally have so much energy... i honestly didn't realize how energetic of a person I am until this happened. But I mean, I would wake up at 7AM, and work a full day, do work for my graduate school classes, exercise, indulge n my hobbies, and finally get to sleep at about midnight or 1am. I could just go all day long without stopping, so I just don't know how to function without my typical clarity of mind and energy.

Not to mention that I decided my hospitalization would be the perfect time to break myself of my 3-5 espresso shots a day habbit. So I'm still kind of adjusting to that too... my body's freaking out at me right now, haha! If my body could talk, it would say "No seriously, what is this? Because I hate it."

The awesome thing was that they put me on 40mg Nexium. I had been on 20mg for two months, but it just wasn't cuttin' it. 40 mg is AWESOME, and I've had no acid reflux problems since I've been on it, so that is fantastic!

Thank you for your kind thoughts :-)
