can a baby get herpes if the mom has it and kisses the baby???

yes, if you have a cold sore on your mouth and you kiss the baby, the baby can get it. just refrain from kissing until the sore is gone.

If you have genital herpes, you cannot give it to the baby by kissing. Most children do get oral herpes from being kissed by relatives with oral herpes.
