Hi everyone,

I'm 27 and for the past year I have had all sorts of heath issues. I have a tremor in my left hand, joint pain, cough/shortness of breath, bruising, pins and needles, bowel issues, cramping, joint and back cracking, tiredness.

Have seen a rheumatologist and a neuro. Neither came up with anything.

More recentrly, some of my nerve endings feel strange. When I rub my knee or upper left arm just below the elbow it feels tingly and if I lean on my arm, it makes my fingers go numb. I wake up in the middle of the night atleast 4 times a week and my hand/arm is numb.

The latest symptoms or changes are blue veins appearing all over my body (12 months ago didnt have any), itchyness and my skin is easily indented (I wake up with deep lines all over my body and just lying on the couch gives me lines in my skin.

Can anyone help with any of these symptoms?

Thanks!!

Very sorry about all your different problems, sounds bad. If it were me I would go to a clinic like Samsun Cliniic in Santa Barbera and get a complete work up which takes about 3 days but chances are good they would find some answers for you. You get to see many specialists from different fields. I dont know where your from but there are many clinics spread out across the U.S. that specialize in difficult diagnoses. Hopefully your insurance wouldnt be a issue. It sounds for sure that you need some type of special help in finding some answers for you. Goodluck to you what ever you choose to do next.

This sounds a lot like me...

I posed this over at the neuromuscular board (no replies yet)

Hi All,

I am new to the boards and hoping to even just get some ideas of what might be going on with me. About 3 months ago I started to get tingling and numbness in my left hand. It rapidly progressed to upper arm paralysis. I went for tons of blood work and an MRI. That ruled out MS and they didn't see any lymphoma. The blood tests did not show any thyroid problems. I asked my doctor if it could be ALS and she said that ALS presents itself symetrically (I have since found out this isn't always the case).

I haven't been able to use my arm in over 2 months now. I have went to physio and that isn't helping either. In fact my arm seems to be getting worse - even my lower arm is showing symptoms now.

I also have some other symptoms that may or may not be related - dizziness, vertigo, over heating and rectal bleeding (I have had a barium enema and sigmoidoscopy which came out normal, going for colonoscopy in the new year).

Anyways, my doctor doesn't seem too concerned but umm, I can't move my arm!!! And it is getting worse!

Does anyone have anything even remotely similar? Could it be lupus? ALS? Parkinsons?

I did not have any injury to trigger the arm problems...they just showed up.

Oh and it isn't carpal tunnel (those sets of nerves aren't affected).

Thanks for any feedback.
