how long can a dying patient survive with no food and on a saline drip its been 27 days my mum has been like this

I hope it's because she has the will to live, why isn't she getting nourishment?

I am so sorry you are going through this with your mother. I also wonder why nourishment has been suspended for so long? My understanding is that we can only manage for 10 days or so, without nourishment.
