Well, tomorrow it will be four weeks since my surgery (anterior cervical corpectomy/discectomy with fusion C5-7). I haven't had a pain pill or muscle relaxer in a week. I'm amazed. The only symptoms left are the occasional slight tingling in the arm, which are almost no longer noticeable and rare. The incision is completely closed and the scab is gone. I am so happy I had the surgery and actually sleep through the nights now. Can't wait to go back on the 29th for x-rays and be cleared for driving and full days at work.

The only part that still sucks is the soft collar, two more weeks of that. Oh, and that head cold and cough I came home from the hospital with developed into a sinus infection and bronchitis so now I'm on antibiotics. What luck!!! Could have been worse I guess, could have been pnuemonia. :)
