My husband has had 2 cervical spine surgerys and a lower back surgery . The first cervical spine surgery was not successful, the second cervical spine surgery was completed with three fusions and a bone spur removed that was cutting into the spinal cord. After the first cervical surgery he woke up with a burning sensation from his waist to his toes on his left side and that was three years ago. The burning sensation is getting worse and the doctor at the pain clinic wants him to see about a dorsal stimilatar to help releive some of the burning. The pain docs have tried several different types of pain meds that maybe take the edge off at times, but never releives the burning sensation. His left leg is also very weak and skips and jumps quite a bit. In Jan of this year he had a lower back surgery so he would be able to walk and maintain his balance. He uses a cane to walk. Has anyone out there had are has anything like this. If so what did you do. Any information would be appreciated.:)
