View Full Version : My original theory was wrong about LPR

If you read my earlier posts I was sure my LPR was caused by the same reason pregnant women get Heartburn, pressure on the stomach. I figured since I was always constipated and had a ton of pressure (gas) that it was pushing against my stomach and causing the acid to shoot up into my throat (which would explain no heartburn just throat problems). I was wrong. I have eliminated the constipation and gas pains by probiotics and exercise (also no stress), it has done nothing against my reflux. My reflux is exactly the same.

Even though my first theory is proven wrong I am now on my second. That medication has caused my saliva to dry up and that is preventing it from pushing the acid back into my stomach when I sleep. I see a cardiologist next week to see about switching my HBP medicine to something that won't dry up my spit.
