Greetings everyone...
I am a 30 yr old male and am looking for a bit of guidence regarding my current situation. I believe I was exposed to the hsv virus a few months back and experienced an outbreak the very next day. I developed two pimple like bumps toward the lower shaft of my penis and they were painless and went away after about a week or so. I also developed a very small dry area toward the upper shaft of my penis that has been irritated ever since (4 months ago)At times there is a bit of a burning sensation but it has not went away. The skin on that area gets pink and dry, and I can peel the skin off but I have not had any fluid filled blisters. I have done some research and was under the impression that an outbreak only lasts for a certain amount of time?
Could this be somethings else besides herpes?
Currently I do not have medical insurance so thats why I am here trying to get some answers.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond...
God Bless.

No one can diagnose you over the internet. Herpes can look different and give different symptoms to everyone. Normally, herpes symptoms do not occur the day after exposure and they don't last for 4 straight months. For most people, first sypmtoms last a week or more but not months.

I'd say it is probably not herpes but you should see a doctor anyway to find out what it is.

Thanks for your input. I was actually just looking for some info for the time being until I can get my insurance issues resolved. Just wanted to see if anyone else may have experienced the same symptoms as I have been experienceing to get a better idea of what I might be dealing with.

My friend had an experience like this and came to me for help (since I have herpes and he was trying to make sure that wasn't it). It lasted for like, 6 months, and FINALLY he went to a new doctor who said it was just a weird virus, not herpes. Maybe that's what you're experiencing, but you never know!
