i have had the same partner for two and a half years in 2002 i was diagnosed with hsv-1 genitally since then i never had another break out with in those 2 and half years we seperated and i started dating someone else we also engaged in unprotected sex about a month later i had a break out after 5 years i never seen any bumps or sores any were on his body and had oral sex plenty of times no oral outbreak for me is it possable that outbreak was due to him passing hsv-2 to me

Did you test positive to hsv2? Are you guessing its hsv2? Chances are you just had an outbreak. I've had herpes for 2 years and have only had my initial outbreak. I still have herpes and still have to disclose this with sexual partners. Still scratch my head on occasion questioning it.

When I acquired herpes I had ample oral sex and never contracted "them" orally. And remember, condoms do help protect you but herpes is skin on skin and there is far more skin than that of a penis and vagina. So, condoms are not a 100% sure fire barrier in the prevention of spreading herpes.

didnt test positive for hsv2 initialy ty for your responxe im probly just being parranoid do you think that because it was a change in partners that a channge of enviroment could have caused this outbreak
