I have my first consultation for a Breast Augmentation this upcoming tuesday and have a few questions for those who already went through this.

1. How long was the consultation?
2. Did they try to talk you out of what you wanted?

My husband and I have discussed exactly what I want and have decided on what we think would look good.....basically putting me back to the size I was before I was pregnant and everything bounced back but them.

TIA for help.....I'm really nervous about this because it looks like it will be $2000 over our budget limit for this doctor but he was highly recommended by everyone I talked with.

1. How long was the consultation?
About 30 minutes

2. Did they try to talk you out of what you wanted?
No, but if you have unrealistic expectations or goals the doctor may tell you something you don't want to hear.

This is one thing you don't want to go cheap on. I didn't go cheap, but I am kicking myself for not going with the doctor that was $1500 more. I think he would have got me closer to what I wanted.

1. How long was the consultation?

Mine varied from 30 minutes to an hour. I had scheduled consults with three doctors and my final consult (the one I finally went with) was the longest, because I asked a lot of questions.

2. Did they try to talk you out of what you wanted?

I wouldn’t quite put it that way. I wanted to go bigger, but my doctor preferred the natural look and in the end I believe he was right. I didn’t want to look unnaturally large and the size I wanted would have looked too big on my small frame.

I agree that going cheap does not work. I paid $6000 for my implants and am happy with the results. It’s tempting to go with surgeons who offer cheap implants, but you get what you pay for. A lot of women who opt for cheap surgeons end up with botched surgeries or unsatisfactory results and end up paying more for revision surgery. Why not do it right the first time?
