Hello, Group I am new here to this forum and hope to get loads of info from it . Well, here is my story DH and I have been TTC for under 1 year and finally here in Europe we went to a doc and she ran tests and found I have low progestone. And Also found out I did not have any antibodies in my blood from Rubella. So I got the shot and have to wait 3 months in order to try to have a baby..
So she gave me Monks pepper they call it Chastberry it is the Hearb version of vitex. I have only been taking it for 1 month and then go back to my doc in Dec to see how my leavels are.. God willing they will be great! I have faith! Also known as Monks Pepper Vitex Agnus Castus is used as ‘the hormone
balancing herb’
just have faith and I am praying for you all..
Sincerly

I just went today and bought a bottle of chasteberry, or "Vitex" as it says on the label. I'm hoping it'll work. Maybe you can let me know if it does anything for you.

I just realized that while you're responding to my post on chasteberry, I've been responding to yours on Monk's pepper!
Anyway, I don't know if I actually have low progesterone. I have just started charting my basal body temp, as well as looking for cervical fluid, and both months I did it, my charts showed no sign of ovulation (they just bounced around, but never really went up or down), and I didn't detect any cervical fluid.
So I don't know if this means I don't ovulate, or if I just didn't ovulate these past two months. But since my husband and I have had unprotected sex for two years without conceiving, (although we just officially started "trying") I can safely assume something's going on. Plus, some months my period comes right on time (usually about 32-34 day cycle), but sometimes it'll be a week or two late for no apparent reason.
Next month, in addition to charting my temps and looking for cervical fluid, I am also going to try a fertility monitor, and see what that tells me.
I want to try and do lots of things on my own before I actually go to a doctor for treatment. So I've been taking vitamins, and I just started taking Primrose oil. Then, when I heard that Vitex can have a balancing effect, I thought it would be worth a shot. If anything, it should at least make my periods more regular.
Can you please tell me how you found out your pregosterone levels were low? I called a clinic yesterday that I thought could do a hormone test very easily, only to be told that it was not a simple procedure.

Hi there! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif Oh okay about my proges. leavels the tests are very easy they take blood and check allll your homone levels.. just like that. you wait a couple of days mabe a week to see what they come up with and they found I had low proges. . http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif.. but that will be easy to get fixed I have faith .. And really we should look at what we eat and how much excersise we do really get. at least walk 30 go 45 min a day http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif.. Hmmm .. so you and DH have been TCC not for long.. I really wish you luck.. so you do think you don't ovulate??? thats great you want to do things on your own before resulting in the doc that is great but with me I think that the doc would benifit me faster seeing all the blood work and all to check if something is wrong.. Ohhh primerose oil is great also http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif..
Sincerly,
jcrew
