I am a 42 year old male. I have been having pain and swelling in my left shoulder and chest area without any sings of trauma and it is definately not heart related, as well as weakness in my hips. I have difficulty getting up from a sitting position or from the floor as well as going up the stairs.
I have had blood test and them come back that my CPK-MM
(muscle enzyme) is high around 1,500 and my liver panel shows my AST and ALT elevated. I have always had very weak thighs and shoulders but extremely big calf muscles. The doctors have done numerous test for autoimmune diseases but they come back negative, but my CPK, ALT & AST remain elevated. Does this sound like it could be one of the dystrophies?
