My husband just came back from the oral surgen to have a cyst looked at, the surgen said it's a pretty large cyst in the gum and may have to loose 4 upper teeth in the process. Sound logical to anyone? I have no experience with this but we can't even see the cyst. hate to see him loose 4 teeth. Thanks, Wife

I had an oral cyst removed when I was about 9, it occurred around a growing 12-year molar, and ate away a large portion of my jaw, and pushed the growing tooth up into my sinus. The oral surgeon did the surgery and I lost that growing tooth and they thought that I would never develop a wisdom tooth there -- but I did unfortunately. Perhaps his jaw has been compromised by the cyst and removal of the cyst will mean that those teeth have lost their support. That's really too bad - good luck!

I would go in two other opinions from oral surgeons before i would
let this doc touch me. Maybe he is right, but i highly doubt it....Karen
