For over two years now, I have been suffering from Chronic Urinary Tract infections. I am being treated for one now, the antibiotics usually seem to clear them up, but they always come back. Recently though, I've been noticing a yellowish discharge, it began this month, about two weeks before my periods due date. It doesn't have an unusual smell, and I'm not itchy down there, but I am alarmed by it and I just want to know what else it could be besides an STD. I went for an exam last Wed, and the Gyno didn't seem to notice the yellow discharge, she just said she noticed a white, milky discharge, but also said it could just be my normal discharge. I did have her check for STD's, and she said if everything turns out negative, then I won't hear from them. Does anyone know what I should do, or any possible reasons why I would be having a yellow discharge? I haven't had unprotected sex in probably over a year.

I have had the same issue for about four years. Its started out as yellowish discharge, but then other symptoms started, like irritation, odor, upper pelvic pain.... My suggestion is, get a PCR test for Chlamydia, Gonnorhea, and Step B. Trust me. PCR is a very accurate test and many docs don't do it unless its requested. Chlamydia in particular is harder to detect then many think. And you can get symptoms of it months after your exposed, you might have just been asymptomatic for sometime. By the way, I'm from vermont too!
I hope this helps, let me know if anything turns up.
