I had my first hCG shot yesterday (day 15, follicle at 23 mm after 100 mg Clomid). And while I really hate sounding like a broken record, is it normal not to feel anything? It's been about 24 hours now and so far I've had a few twinges, nothing that I haven't felt at other times. I'm really hoping this time around I'll actually ovulate - is it possible to ovulate and not feel a thing? Thanks!

Hi! I had an HCG shot the first time I tried Clomid too. I had a 20mm follicle. I had the shot on a Wednesday aftenoon(4pm or so) and didn't feel anything until Friday morning (around 9am or so). It didn't hurt, really...I just knew I had an ovary, if you know what I mean. Kind of "twingy". That feeling lasted a few hours and then it was gone. Good luck! I hope this helps!

Thanks, cstamp! I'm glad that you don't need to feel volcanic pain to know that it may be happening http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif. Actually, for the past few hours I haven't been twinging exactly - but I've consistently been getting that faint "rumbling" feeling (you know what I mean - it feels like something is leaking air and vibrating very slightly). The strange thing is, I'm getting it from *both* ovaries, not just the right one - and the left doesn't have any follicle that's remotely big enough.
Oh well. Crossing my fingers and trying to think about something else. There's all the time in the world, really.

Just an update, if anyone's interested - it's day 20 right now, I'm getting my blood test the day after tomorrow. I honestly have no idea whether I o'd or not, though of course hoping frantically that I *did*. Basically I've been having random cramping from both ovaries for the last few days - I did have one or two very, very mild twinges in the uterine area but nothing that could even be properly called cramp, since they didn't hurt and were over a second.
Well, we'll see. Otherwise I'm perfectly normal - not strangely tired or anything like that - and the only weird symptom I've experienced is a sudden inability to eat anything even vaguely salty, or which involved cheese as an ingredient. That is strange, because normally I love both of these things. My DH made a big pan of manicotti three days ago and I almost threw up in the sink, poor guy. But since it's way too early for morning sickness, I'm thinking that may just be a random thing.

When was your HCG shot? My doctor had me wait two weeks after my shot to have my blood test. Mine turned up negative...unfortunately! I hope your's goes well! I did 100mg of Clomid the second time, had the HCG shot, and didn't 0 this time. I've just now finised taking 10 days of progesterone to bring on AF, then I'll be starting FSH shots after that! I sure hope that works!!! Thanks for your update! Keep me posted!
