I've been feeling off balance since last May. Now i am finding that it is more frequent. My dr tells me its migraine vertigo. However i am now experiencing sensitivity to sound. Has anyone experienced this?????

Hi Jakes,
What you described is exactly what I had been diagnosed
with. Vestebular migraines. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif I didn't believe them and I went to several drs. I did some research on this and there is migraine where you don't get pain, just aura (dizziness, sensitivity to light and sounds) I usually get the dizziness first (which can last days for me) and then the other symptoms along with my scalp hurting. I have had the classic migraine and deal much better with that then the dizziness. Whenever I get one it makes so depressed. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif For me it is the worse feeling in the world.
Good luck to you.

I hear ya. Been there. However, since I started experiencing dizzy spells (vertigo) and balance problems in May of 2000 I still haven't gotten a correct diagnosis. If you have ANY doubts about what you were told, get a second opinion. Good luck, and God Bless.

Praising Him,
Lori
