I cant take what ever my problem is anymore, i hope i can get answers or help. here goes
when i eat 2-6 hours later (sopmetimes shorter) i get very bad gas pains and need to use the bathroom about 10 times in about 4-5 hours straight. it starts out constipating goes type 6 on the bristol scale (one step away fromt he runs(fluffy stuff) it will be like that a couple times then go to type 5 on the scale (small fluffy "solidish" pieces".
When i get this i get they worst gas pains in the world, and i dont always have gas. this is so irritable.

I had this stupid problem sat from 6am-3pm, and now its wed, i ate something other then just snacking on crackers and im getting it back again. i have been like this since mayish, i have been to the doc. twice a week since july, and they for some reason skip tests on IBS, they have been giving me bulk laxatives, send me to a dietition, blood work, and non for IBS they said i was lactos befor even trying.

Today i finally get to go to the GI specialist. i hope there is some hope there.

anyone relate to this or know what it could be, IBS does run in the family, my grandma does have it.

Sorry about your toilet problems. There are no specific tests for IBS, it is a diagnosis of exclusion. That is they rule out anything else it could be. The only way to do that with complete certainty is by doing a colonoscopy. I have IBS and share some of the same symptoms, it certainly could be IBS. I believe it does tend to run in families. You are doing the right thing by seeing a GI. All the best.
