For about a year and a half I have been experiencing muscle pain/spasms around my left scapular and rear deltoid regions. The area always feels tight or inflamed. I have visited a physician about the problem and have gone through massage therapy and taken anti-inflammatory meds but I continue to have problems. Now recently over the past six months I have been experiencing constant tingling in my lunar nerve down my armpit, into my forearm, and have a burning sensation in my index finger and pinkie finger. Could these back problems be causing my ulnar nerve to act up. help. whats wrong with me. Also I am a 25 year old male.

i would VERY highly recommend an MRI be done up on your c and upper t spine areas. this could be the area where the nerves are being compromised at. your symptoms just fit more with some level of spinal affectation. that could be many many different possibilities, but it would show you what is or is not actually involved up there. this would be what i would do right now if i were in your current posistion. you just have no real clue as to what is actually going on inside any body area until you get that good look inside it. believe me,i have found many little "suprises' show up inside my body in different areas over the years that only showed up on particular types of scans. did not have a freaking clue anything was there til it was found on a scan. an MRI with a contrasting agent would be your best bet right now. just talk to your doc about getting that referral for one. good luck and please keep me posted. marcia
