ok i have my share of allergies adn stomache disorders that give me trouble, that and a darn tooth that might require a root canal in the future. Though something rather unsettling happened to me today. I have a sight cold or the winter dust allergies are donig their normal thing. So i was in my family room in a reclined position. Had not done much moving earlier that day just sitting there. Not to mucheating either. Then the room started to shift, not spin but had the left corner sink and then rise and sink again, (vision and feelnig wise), and it felt as if my eustation tube had opened up. This shift in the room caused my great discomfort to the degree of me having to go out side walk around and then lie down. My equilibruim was thrown of and my stomache and instestants were quiet upset. Things similiar to this have happened to me but never to this degree. I was wondering if i should really make anything out of this. Is it somewhat normal to have something like this happen for little reason once and awhile, talking many months apart, mainily during cold season and allergy season. Sometimes my ears are bother by noises and seem to cause a fuildic opening and closing slushing, agian happens with allergies and or a cold. Never really that light sensitive. For now I am going ot work on lessening the salt and caffine in my diet, after that eliminate it. That and ill talk to my dr. about it but normally he rights it off as simply a head cold and gives me an expectorant. I went to him about two weeks ago for alot of congestion in my ear, i could hear the ocean constantly. Also i know that the eustation tube did drain due the the amount of coughing i did after it opened up and the garbage in my throat. Also after alittle while i felt better. Slowly regained my equilbirium. I could walk but felt so awful just went and lay down outside in the moist air. Stomache took awhile to feel better and when i oved my head took awhil for it to feel normal and not have the movement fell alot more then it was.

Personally i am hoping that is was a fluke due to a cold and anxiety right after it happend and equilibruim had not be re-stablished. Had things close to this before but never this severe and accompanied but stomache agrivation due to the severity. I am very glad this did not happen in school or i dont know what i would have done. Think my lod pressure dropped with this so i had to use the manuver when you lie on your back and bring your nees to yor hest to raise the blood level in your chest.

If this happens again I would see a good ear, nose and throat doctor. Could be that you were slightly hypoglycemic from not eating which caused a drop in your blood sugar levels. Perhaps you stood up too quickly and had a slight drop in your blood pressure. But if you keep having "disequalibrium" with nausea/vomiting, I would think that it would point towards an inner ear problem. Allergies, sinus congestion, etc. can all cause a build up of fluid in the ear which can throw off balance. Good luck, and God Bless.

went to the doc is seems this is a dusie of a head cold. Just had teh eustation tube ope nup on me again as i was sitting her and typing someting. It was not nearly as bad though, guess since i knew what it was and how to treat it. Also hopefull the medicine the doc gave me will kick in soon. The doc said there was alot of flem and chanes are it is just the eustation tube opening up. Guess ill read around on how to better deal with it for hte moment. It oes come on rather quickyl but atleast it goes away with in a few minutes then the rest is simply waiting or the fuild to settle so i can walk well again.

was there a low pressure weather pattern around at the time you had this attacke i have dysfunctional eusachian tubes and if there is rain or wind (certain winds mainly southerly winds my ears buzz and i get off balance and feel uncentered and sick in tummy plus imy muscles tighten up in body to compensate for the uncentered feeling and my walking is not free flowing because of rigid muscles caused by my eusachian tubes
best of luck

Sinus infections will make you dizzy and also cause a plethora of symptoms.
Those head colds that noone thinks are serious can really scare the heck out of you if they are left untreated.
Sinus infections can cause headaches so bad, they make your teeth hurt, and can even cause your teeth to mis-align temporarily due to swelling.
Most people dont realise that their sinus cavities are directly related to their teeth, and ears.
For anyone who has had an upper wisdom tooth pulled, and tried to drink water, they know how close they are related.
Why? After an upper wisdom tooth extraction ...and drinking water, .....you can actually have water come out of your nose from the hole left by the extracted tooth!
good luck! and glad things are better.
