I have heard that it was unhealthy to eat anything
after around 8pm.
Is this true....?
I'm asking, because it is hard for me to not eat from 8pm to the time
I go to bed. I work at a resturunt, so I usually don't get to sleep until 2
or 3 in the morning. And I sometimes get hungry.....
What should I do??

I think that is based on a normal bedtime of around 11pm.....if your days are skewed one way or the other then so are the rules....

Like if you eat breakfast at 10am instead of 7-8....I think it is all relative.

I agree. Let's change that rule in your case to "No eating for 2 hours before bedtime" or "No snacking after the last meal of the day" whenever that last meal happens to be.

Thanks!
Yeah... I usually eat breakfast at 10am, Lunch at 1pm,
Supper at 5pm, and a snack at about 8 pm.
So do you think having another snack at around 11pm is ok...?

I think the problem with eating at night is that's when many dieters sneak a snack, or two, or three.

I've also heard health professionals discourage nighttime meals or snacks, but of course it's the same amount of calories any time.

Your body needs rest and you generally don't want to give it the job of digesting food once you're going to sleep, IMO.

I've heard that it's not WHEN you eat your calories, it is just HOW MANY calories you eat. I think that rule helps b/c people eat a big dinner and then after 8, eat more. That adds to the total number of calories they consume in one day. 1,600 calories is 1,600 calories, no matter at what times each calorie is consumed.

Thanks for your reply's.
I think I'll follow the rule "Don't eat 2 hours before you sleep"
to give my body time to digest.
If I don't have a snack at night, I'm usually only able to fit
1000-1200 calories during the day...
