Hello, I am currently kicking around an idea and I need to know what exactly our body needs in terms of vitamins and nutrients, not food groups. A lot of this knowledge is scattered around so I'll see if anyone here can give me a detailed answer of every single little thing our body needs to keep going.

No, nobody can give you a detailed list of every little thing that the body needs, because I believe nobody knows for sure. The best anyone could do is come up with a list of recommended dosages of many vitamins and minerals that the average person would need. The catch is that most of us are not average - we all have our quirks.

Just a well balanced diet with plenty of variety. What we need to survive and what we need to blossom are two different things. You can live on bread and water for a long time, but you will soon suffer. Variety is important.
Some say go for many colours on food. Lots of veges, leafy greens, fruits, plus proteins in meats etc. There are so many different nutrients that have been shown to be good for us, that we cannot really just say "eat these 10 foods".
