It shouldn't, unless it is hydrogenated.

Natural trans-fats only occur in small amounts in beef and milk fat. However, hydrogenation of vegetable oils causes them to contain large amounts of trans-fat.

My family bought some cooked chicken in a package and it contains 0.5 g trans fat.
And I'm trying to spot where it's coming from. The chicken Ingredient: Canola oil
and other stuff that can't be trans fat.

Animal fats naturally contain a little trans fat. It's less dangerous than the partially hydrogenated kind, though.

The word "hydrogenated" does not appear anywhere on the label? You're sure?

Yeah, it also contain modified potato starch. I don't think that is trans fat. No hydrogenated ingredients.

I don't have the package anymore. It didn't have a lot of ingredients.

I read that only ruminant animals (animals with more then 2 stomachs) can produce natural Trans Fat and that a chicken is a bird. And I read Canola has Trans Fat when they deodorize it!

So Canola has trans fat? :S

I found the package and the ingredients are:

Chicken Drumstick, Water, Modified Potato Starch, Canola Oil, Paprika, Salt, Sugar, Sodium Phosphate, Garlic, Lemon Concentrate, Black Pepper, Granulated Garlic.

Trans Fat 0.5g.

I'm gonna stop eating Canola oil food for now. Hmm, there goes my cereal.
