Hello, looking for advice. I am a 30yr old women. For about 8 years, I have had this problem. First of all, I normally have 3 plus bowel movements a day. Very often I have this problem where out of nowhere, I have to go to the bathroom really bad. Like I can not wait and I have to go now! Not always diahreah, but loose stool. At first it was controlling my life. I was afraid to go out because what if I had to go. Now, I do go out but wherever I go, I make sure I know where the bathroom is. About 4 yrs ago for this problem I had an upper and lower gi and a sigmoidoscopy, but the doc found no problems. Basically told me to live w/it. Is this Ibs? Anyone w/advice please respond. Thank you so much.

wow!! i have the exact same symptoms you have!!! i went to the doctor too about it about 6months ago and my stool sample came back fine!-i seem to get very bad diarreah in the morning though and during the day its a mixture between constipation and loose stools!
I too have get the same urge out of nowhere and i get very flushed and panicky in public as i feel that i might go there and then! its the most horrible feeling! the only way ive tried to overcome it is by not eating before going out in public-i try to just eat in the evenings! this only helps slightly! -I am seriously considering going back to my doctor about this as i cant relax with it! I know i didnt answer your question but just thought id say id pop in and say im going through the same situation as you :) GOODLUCK

Hey i have the same symptoms also and i'm only 20
I've have them since i was in highschool and i recently went to the doctor and got an endoscopy. they found nothing and said i just probably have IBS and gave me medicine but it isnt helping :( I'm making a bunch more doctors appointments to try and get it under control

Im right with you girls ( I wonder if this is more a female prob than it is with men?) I had diverticulitis surgery about 6 yrs ago and since then I wear some type of a pad if I have to go anywhere, including to work. I also carry wash cloth, soap and change of clothes. I have no warning, the brownish color water just comes out. I only eat in the eve at home, then of coarse I over eat and still spend lots of time in the bathroom, but Im still 25 lbs over weight. Ive ruined all of my undies. My family trys to be understanding, but cant really understand it. For that matter,, neither do I.
I had a bad gall bladder removed 3 wks ago, and I thought for sure the problem would be gone, but its not. Ive talked to 3 Drs, old dr, new dr and the gastroenterologiist and about all I get is a nod or prob just a bug. A 6 yr old Bug???? now thats scary:)
I just advised someone not to use OTC's, but Im about to do the same thing. I have Dr appt on tues, and if no real answer I plan to ask what OTC would he recommend. Has anyone discussed our type of problem with a dr?
