Hey,
I've had TMJD for 4 yrs now (Im 18). It hasn't been that bad until this year. Im sure most of you kno what it feels like when TMJD ruins your life.
I've change my diet, used two different bite guards, and even physical therapy. My Dentist said braces would fix this, but I don't think my teeth alignment is the problem. I also only have medicaid for insurance, which like most insurances, won't cover braces and most places wont take it.
So to make it short. Does anyone know of any good Specialist, or anyone who treats TMJD in Utah?

you might want to try an oral pain managment dr for some shot steriods or botox for the pain also a long sock with rice in it place it in the microwave for a minute or two and it throws out moist heat for your jaw this works great 1000mg calcium /mag 500mg pills are a natural muscle relaxers take them everyday good luck

I'm sorry this is a little off subject, but is related to TMJ.
Scubadude - do you scuba, or is that just your name?
I can't Scuba often (or for very long) because of my jaw, I got certified after my jaw was bothering me. I saw someone makes a manta ray mouthpiece for your regulator, but I haven't really felt good enough to want to go diving lately. It fits between your teeth and cheeks instead of between your top and lower jaw. I was just wondering if you use a regular mouthpiece because that could definitely make your jaw worse! I am going to order one this summer to try.
Good Luck
