You don't mention if you're already doing anything to treat it, but the most common course of treatment is:

1. Daily use of PPI medication (PrilosecOTC, Nexium, etc) taken once or twice a day 30 minutes before eating.

2. Cut down or eliminate foods that aggravate LPR, especially tomato-based sauces, coffee (and other drinks with caffeine), peppermint, chocolate, etc.

3. Eat smaller meals, don't get too full.

4. Raise the head of your bed 4-6 inches.

5. Don't lay down until 2-3 hours after eating a meal.

6. If you're overweight, lose some weight to help take the pressure off your digestive system.

It take a while to see progress, so you have to stick with any treatment program for a couple of months to see any improvement. I hope that is helpful.
