Been seeing an accupuncturist for leg pain for a few sessions now. He tells me to keep my tights (or socks) on and he puts the needle through the fabric. When I asked if I needed to take my tights off, he said no, it didn't matter. This bothers me slightly as I fear that minute fibres may go into my soft tissue - what do others think please? thanks

To me, this sounds bizarre!
