View Full Version : Should I Stop Folirinse Now?

I had been prescribed by my naturopathic physician to do Folirinse 1,000 milligrams a day in the form of a rinse to absorb into my salivary glands to replace folic acid lost when I was on Depo-Provera shots. My last shot would have been on November 10th which I did not get because I recently found out I am post-menopausal.

Everything was going along fine until the last few days when I think my body is trying to reject the Folirinse because my saliva has been oily and when I spit, a bit of the yellow tint of the solution is in it.

Should I stop taking it now? Is my body back to processing folic acid through diet correctly?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi, Dolysods . . . she put me on it in August and everything was fine up until recently. I did stop it and have been off for three days as am not able to contact her until the first week of January. I am not having any problems with the saliva now, and notice even less coughing and phlegm in the mornings when I get up.

I was just thinking that I was getting too much of a build-up in my system. I am going to chance staying off of it and then tell her about it when she comes back.

Thanks for responding and hope you had a great holiday! Best to you in the new year.
