I am on my last day in Mexico. I just had a facelift and am sooooo happy. It's really interesting what a person goes through . I must say though, I am in San Miguelle Mexico adn am soooo sad that I am leaving. My husband is here with me and we absolutely love this place. BAck to the lift; My neck is a little swollen and the doctor came to the place where I am today to take the stitches out. He drained the neck and it's much better. My bad...I had NOT been following instructions on how to sleep and the truth is that I had taken a lot of ibuprofin before the surgery (although I had stopped two weeks before.)

I already love how I look and it's only been 9 days. My jaw line is so sculpted...I love this doctor. He was featured on CNN and ANderson Cooper.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Hi annie,
How are you doing? Your post caught my attention when I first saw it a few days ago. This is something I've wanted to do for some time. Please keep in touch here with any updates.

Hi, thanks for writing. I'm home now and I had surgery the 18th. I go out, but really I started going out 4 days after surgery when i was in san miguelle. I feel great, but have been told I look all sinusy and puffy. I would do it again in a new york minute, or any minute as far as that goes. I do wish the swelling would go down quicker, but I hear it takes at a minimum of 3 weeks and a max of 3 months. If you have any other questions, let me know. I did soooo much research and questioning before i did this...especially doing it out of country.

Hi Annie,

I just joined so I'm not sure how this works. I had a face and neck lift a week ago today.. Nothing looks right yet. Yesterday was very depressing. The sides of my face are very hard and lumpy my mouth is different on each side and my neck does not looked sculpted. Is this too soon to be so worried?

Don't be alarmed and think positive or your mind will play tricks on you. Depression is normal...It takes a long time to feel normal.. Be patient. I sort of went through that, but thanks to some good meds and a great recovery place, I was able to distract myself. I am aware of all the changes- and there are changes. Do I love it? YES!! Do I look like myself?? I don't think so, but others do. I had my surgery the 18th of dec and it's now the 9th of jan. I made this decision and I am so happy. It takes about 3 months for some to feel 'normal'. I still have numbness but I'm slowly beginning to get the feeling back. How do I know? Well, there's the weird sensation of tiny itching or a little pain, (if you're a woos like me) or tingling. It's sort of like I had frostbite and the feeling is coming back.

I like what I see in the mirror even though my eyes are still swollen. Hang in there and know that you're going to be more than okay, you're going to feel and look beautiful! You can ask me any question you like...take care...

Thanks Annie for your reply and encouragement. I didn't tell you that I had done this, the whole thing eyes also 21 years ago. I think the reason I've been so concerned is that in 1987 I went to one of the top surgeons in the bay area, he even taught at Standord. This time I went to LifeStyle lift and have been concerned. I didn't want to look over done and I don't. I didn't do anything but neck and face so the lines above my eyes and between are still there as well as around my mouth. I have had botox in the past for these areas. It lasts such a short time so if I'm going some where special I'll do it then. I tried restalin? but it traveled.
