Hi ladies!
Everytime I wash my brushes I use something different...baby shampoo, bar soap, body wash, dish detergent..lol! What's the best thing that gets them clean and not too stiff?

I use Clinique Brush Cleaner. You just spray the brush a few times, massage it in, then rinse under warm water until the water runs clear. I don't wash my brushes daily (more like once a week or when I remember), but I have not noticed any stiffness.

Liquid soap and water are all you need to use to clean them. I guess you could go out and buy a brush cleaner, but liquid soap is the cheapest and won't ruin them, in most cases at least if they are quality brushes. I have a couple of brown ones that I washed with liquid soap and water, and they are now orange... probably cuz they're pretty cheap. Thankfully I don't use powders anymore so I don't need brushes.

I use regular shampoo and rinse it with a lot of water until the water becomes clear. If I am in a good mood, I use conditioner on the brushes too!

I was told by a makeup artist to just use hand soap and water. Rinse well and let dry

Someone told me to just use a gentle soap clenser ( one that can be used on your face) and scrub it clean, rinse it then let it air dry. I'll blowdry mine, but they're pretty cheap?!

I was told at my beauty supply store to just use a mild face cleanser like Cetaphil. That is what I use and it seems to be just fine. Just dont make the same mistake i made...when I wanted to use my freshly washed brush right away, I blow dryed it LOL!!!! Well needless to say...it is better to just let them dry overnight :)

Thanks again everyone. I'll ditch the dish soap and use the mild soap instead!:)

I use baby shampoo. Rinse my brushes well and gently squeeze out excess water. Lay them flat to dry.
