Hi, recently i have been having pain in my lower abdomen, and at night I have pressure in my stomach and rumblings. Sometimes it feels like my stomach needs to growl to get the pressure to go away but it doesnt. One more thing is pelvic pain a symptom of IBS?

It is not the symptoms of IBS.
Look up the Rome Criteria for IBS and get the symptoms --internationally.

I was diagnosed with IBS after a colonoscopy. Mine isn't real bad, comes and goes, I tend to get it in bouts, sometimes months even years apart. My symptoms are abdominal pain, any where below navel, nearly always at night after dinner, bloating, lots of grumbling and wind (every time I eat). The wind or a BM relieves the pain but then it returns. Sometimes I get constipated, sometimes I have diarrhea, mostly neither. I do think it could be IBS, but I would see a Doctor. All the best.

yea thanks a lot.. I need to go to the doctor. Does anyone know what else could cause constant stomach pressure and rumbling at night?

IBS is Irritable BOWEL syndrome -- mostly the intestines-- not stomach pressure

i knew what you meant. I'm not quite sure what you mean by pressure. I guess we all have different interpretations of sensations. Do you mean like a bloated feeling? I still think it sounds like IBS. By the way I don't meet the Rome Criteria and I've been medically diagnosed. I started just getting pain, and grumbling (no BM symptoms), when I was in my early 20's, I'm now 55.
