Hello all,

I had an C5-6 ACDF performed in the Fall of 2006 after not having any luck with physical therapy, injections, traction, etc. for my herniated disc with neck pain/stiffness and right arm/hand pain/tingling. I had a quick recovery and was feeling fine. My surgeon noted that I was fully fused (had used allograft and a plate system), but that I did have a bone spur at the front of the C5-6 area. The C6-7 disc has been protruding for some years now.

Last week I woke up with bad neck pain/stiffness and some shoulder pain. It was deja vu since that was how I felt when I first herniated the C5-6 disc a couple years ago. Thankfully there is no tingling yet. I am going to call my surgeon to see if I should get some tests run, but wanted to see if anyone thought this could be the bone spur or a different cervical level acting up.
