What color is your hair? I had a blonde friend who did different color streaks all the time. Her pink streaks would just fade to lighter pink until they faded out completely. Red streaks may also turn pink as they fade and so do some purples. Blue can fade to light green on blonde hair as well. With darker hair, you probably wouldn't see the fading very much at all.
