I have a molar that needs to be extracted on the bottom and am wondering how implants work. Do they drill into the bone and has anyone ever had problems with that part of the procedure and does the implant feel fake in your mouth? I just know now that I hate at 36 to lose a back tooth..it would be my lower back molar So I will have a gap between two teeth. For me, I can do the extraction..no doubt...but the emotional part of it..losing a tooth is upsetting me. I know I have to deal with that part of it...but am thinking if I know that an implant will be Ok to do..then I will rest easier knowing that I can look forward to having my teeth look normal again. I have allergies to things, have TMJ and wonder if after an implant is put in, am I going to have jaw pain that continues forever. Just want to hear anyone's thoughts..thanks!
