The ringing and noise in my ears really bad tonight--sounds like shorted out amps at an ACDC concert. Got bilateral accoustic neuromas. Left ear is real bad hearing alomst gone--hope it returns at least to what it was.

Sorry to hear about the acoustic neuromas - I have no idea what drugs you are allowed to take with that condition to ease the tinnitus. I have been up half the night with increased tinnitus also - a drilling sensation. I empathise. I'm normally fairly resilient but this sends me over the edge. The only thing that seems to calm it down is 2-4mg of valium - on the tmjd board there is someone who had v. violent tinnitus who tried neurontin - you may already have been there and done that, but thought it was worth mentioning, just in case you haven't.
