hi all.
did anyone elses lab start slowly ? mine has been coming on for about 1 month . starting with a detatched feeling . i kept thinking my glasses were not focusing properly although i could see properly really. i never had a cold previously . but one of my daughters had a really bad flu about 2 months ago.
also abouth a month ago we went through the euro tunnel, which caused ear pressure and pain. but we all got that. and ive never had after effects before.
i find it strange using the computer as when i type if feel more dizzier? does that happen to anyone else?
and does this give you great anxiety...i feel frightened of taking my children to school and dont want to see any of my friends, but before this i loved going out.
thank you for your support

Yes I felt like that when it first started. For an more info on it you can go here:
http://www.pneuro.com/publications/dizzy/index.html

For info on how/why it affects the eyes you can go here:
http://www.vestibular.org/fuzzy.html

and at the bottom of the fuzzy vision page you can select more on the computer aspect.

Good Luck!

Thanks for that link. It helped me a lot. Hopefully sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours wont be so awful once I adjust my screen.

As mentioned on another post, mine also started slowly. My ENT said L'itis can do this xxx

I have had Lab since January of this year. I've been through alot of symptoms so far. But the worst was the dizziness and the feeling of head fog. Not being able to communicate the right message to people. I knew what I wanted to say but it wouldn't come out right. You are not alone. There are alot of people who have had it longer than I have. Also with different symptoms. I don't have a lot of vertigo problems but it does bother me. I have alot of supportive people in my life who try to understand what it is like for me. We're here! Take care, d http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi there! Mine came on slow too: foggy head, vision problems. I too wear contact lenses and glasses and I thought the prescription had changed. Got my eyes checkes and turned out it wasn't that. But the non-stop dizziness really started after I had a sinus cold around Christmas last year. I had a violent vertigo episode and the dizzies settled in. I don't get much vertigo anymore, just dizziness that ranges from mild to severe depending on God knows what. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/mad.gif
