Hello. I took Lexapro 10mg some years ago and thought it was associated with GI distress. More specifically, it seemed to aggravate my IBS. Even so, I had great results from the med for my depression. When I got off the Lexapro, however, my bowel problems improved.

My doctor wanted me to try Lexapro again because I have been taking Wellbutrin for the last year with medicocre results. I started the Lexapro 10mg about 4 months ago, and though I'm starting to feel positive mental effects from the drug, my bowel issues have started again (along with some nausea). About 8 days ago the IBS started, and it's still going strong.

Has anyone else found that Lexapro triggers bowel and other GI issues? if so, then did you change to another antidepressant medication, and if so, which one? Any help is appreciated. :dizzy:
