I have not yet been to see my doctor about this, but am planning to in a few weeks - in the meantime, I would love some feedback on this. For some time I have been experience a burning, tingling and sometimes stinging sensation on both of my cheeks and sometimes there is redness or flushing and my face will feel warm. I do not have any acne outbreaks but can see some very fine veins on my cheeks. I am very fair skinned and also have very sensitive skin and so am prone to contact dermatitis. My mother has rosacea and this is what go me thinking that maybe I could be developing it. I am in my late forties and my mother did not start getting her symptoms until she was in her seventies.

Sounds like it can definitely be rosacea. My mom has it and describes the feeling like this, only she sometimes gets mild hives from it when something is really bothering her. I'd get it checked out before it gets too uncomfortable!
