Hi everyone: For those living in Canada, is either Forteo or Protelos (Strontium Ranelate) available there? If so on either, does your health insurance cover part of the price? I'm not familiar with your health system and know someone looking into these 2 drugs there, but it looks like it *may* depend on which province you live in--but I'm not sure.

Hi DB
Strontium Ranelate is not available here but strontium citrate can be purchased. I purchase mine online. I don't know about the Forteo but I am thinking it would be available... others will chime in and help you out I am sure. Takecare.

Hi DB, yes Forteo is available in Canada. Bear in mind that, unless one is a senior citizen or else on some sort of government assistance, we're on our own as far as paying for prescriptions. Many have private drug plans thru work etc.

Thanks you two for the info... I see that coverage also goes by which province you live in, too.
