I was doing my usual obsessing about my TMJ and it occurred to me that the the pain in my jaw and the end of my cycle (sorry guys) are very close together!!

Does anyone have any information about this link?

That may be true with other conditons too - my sister has a low BP and heart arythemia with what is called prinzmetal angina - and it seems her symptoms become more pronounced with the end of her cycle as well - so initially they attributed it to her thyroid or flucutations in hormones. I actually went through meno last year and never really experieinced anything other than no more cycles - guess I was too wrapped up in pain and other symptoms to notice anything but my tmj. Have you ever thought about maybe trying some OTC herbal or natural supplements that increase estrogen to see if that may have some affect on your symptoms?

I've never thought of it. Might be a good idea. Wonder how safe it is?

Well they are herbs - like black cohash and others - I am not talking about taking prescription HRTs which are made form either non-human or man made products. If you go to a local vitamin store like a GNC or Vitamin World , etc - ask someone to help you in selecting some herbal supplements which support women health or even in Walgreens or local pharmacies there are a few kept with other supplements like Estrovert. I tried that one and so did my sister and to be honest I never noticed any difference in taking it.
