Hubby is a technician and travels on subway up and down stairs with heavy bags every day, climbs ladders, bends, etc. numerous times daily - this caused his right knee to give out. He got on workman's comp for the athroscopic surgery on right knee which he had on November 18 - his company's insurance carrier covered the entire cost and sent him a check twice a month. He now has consequential issue with left knee and now the insurance carrier will not cover that knee. So no more money coming. Workman's comp is setting up a hearing which will be in about 8 weeks before a judge. Do you recommend a lawyer for the hearing?

Meanwhile, hubby will use our personal health insurance for medical bills on his left knee as we were told that if we win the case, my health insurance will be reimbursed. Is that true? Is it worth going to the hearing?
