For a couple of months already i have been having weird sensations in my head. I feel like someone is electricuting me, or zapping me. After that happens I get a weird headache or weird sensation. I have gone to a neurologist and have had several tests done but everything has been fine. I have also had an MRI done but, nothing. I have had blood tests. So, what can it be?? They scare me and I'm tired of them.

was that MRI they did on you actually done WITH contrast? if not,it may not show all that really needed to be seen within the vascular structures in the brain. since that MRI did not show anything,it would be a good idea to just very thoroughly check out ALL of the vascular stuctures and nothing else, and that would simply take an MRA. the thing here is, with any given MRI, you simply cannot see everything that needs to be seen depending upon what it is you are looking for. thats just the nature of any scan actually since it is not an actual picture but just a scan, you know what i mean?

with your particular symptoms,it may just be a really good idea toget that MRA done since all that shows on this particular scan is "just' the arteries within your brain and nothing else at all, just vascular. i had a brain aneurysm back in 2005 that did not actually show up on my brain MRI only becasue it was located in one of those more "hidden" type areas? it was actually in the bend of an artery and just could not be seen with the soft tissue in the way,but once that was all removed with the MRA,it could be very plainly seen. if i were you i would just want the arteries very thoroughly checked out at this point, espescially since it would appear that nothing really showed "just" with the MRI? once you can get that MRA done, depending upon what does or does not actually show would dictate what your next step(treatment or another type of test) should be. i would seriously speak to your neuro about doing that MRA,espescially if this MRI was not done using any type of contrasting agent. there could very well be many other possible issues that could give you the symptoms you are having, but you just want that possible aneurysm/vascular malformation completely ruled out before moving on,ya know? good luck and please keep me posted as to anything you find out.
