I have been diagnosed with thick (gluelike) fluid in the ears. My ent suggested tubes in both ears. This has helped somewhat, but whenever I have a cold, the fluid back up and results in hearing loss. Have been using Ciprodex which helps sometimes. Also, the fluid will drain from the ear sometimes. Has anyone dealt with this situation. I have been told, it is not unlike what a 2 year old experiences when the ear tubes have not fully developed, ence the use of tubes.
