hey there my beautiful friends!!!
Firstly happy new years and i hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, i was hoping by this year i would be free of tmj ( that we all would be) but that isn't the case :(
I haven't been online in weeks due to internet issues however i had spent hours on end reading everyones posts!!! We are all progressing hey! I have seen many people are ruling out options which is good because at least all measures are exhausted.
my update is this : After relatives came i had 2 weeks flare up, my doctor finally prescribed me endep 25 which i take one tablet at night at diazepam 2mg which i take 3 times a day! Then after that my symptoms subsided. So i had stopped taking my medication for 2 weeks as it made me drowsy and i had a deferred exam to study for , which i must admit was stressful and hard.
Due to me deferring an exam last year i just sat it on the 9th of January and everything was okay sure i had the occasional pain in the ears but i coped. However on January 8th to now i am excruciating pain. As per usual my ears are killing me. My entire family is convinced it has to be all from exam stress and i have deep inflammation in the joints or around it.
Since October my dentist had said the discs have recaptured so it could not possibly be displaced again she said while i had the splints in. i haven't even adjusted them yet as i have to wait until i'm 100 % pain free which i doubt will ever happen :(
Well from the 8th January i get such sharp pains in both my ears and it makes me shake, then this deep itch in the ear then more sharpness. Nothing else is sore , the jaw feels tender and thats all but yeah as per usual i just get these earaches. I resumed taking the medication and the same dosage as i wrote above again for 3 days now but the pain isn't subsiding.
I'm so so so scared, what can i do ?? i dont want to bother going to the dentist as i know she will be like hmm i dont know it should be fixed and will blame my exam stress but yeah i think it is exam stress and i have inflamed the joints as i get the pain and it disappears then haunts me again... anyone have any ideas for me at this point... im still taking my medicine.. any ideas what could be going on.. ???
Should i find someone different , or just wait it out.. is it normal what this is???
Any advice appreciated, Yours truly Temera

I have just posted my reply to your ear pain issue on another thread. Check it out. It does seem to me (knowing now that your disks were displaced forward) that your jaw is forced to be too much forward causing your ear pains.
Is your lower back contracted, tight? Like the "tail goes up"?
I'd suggest as I did in Appliance Fitting Part 2 (or 3?) to do the standing alignment for your spine w/o any splint to bring your jaw where it belongs w/o pains.
Hope this will help.
