Do you know which joint? My talus had collapsed and my final choice had to be triple arthrodesis of the hind foot. It's a tough recovery but I'm on my foot again.

Yeah, if the joint really has totally collapsed, fusion is generally the best option. It'll reduce the flexibility of the foot some (depending on where it is) but it tends to reduce pain and make the foot straight again.
