AnxietyAttack

I am 36 and having the worst time of my life due to my daily anxiety attacks and I have yet to go to a doctor. I have though in the last 6 months gone to the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack but they said I was fine and sent me home. A year ago I went for the same thing and they too said I was fine.
As I type my story what I'm really thinking about is that my left hand feels numb and tingly right now and that surely must be a heart attack coming. My vision seems blurred on the sides and anything that hurts my head must be an anyurism coming.
This all started about a year and a half ago. The hardest part of my day is my breathing and my inability to sleep. I constantly keep having to take these gasping breaths to fill my lungs....they never feel like they get enough air. Also when I lay down to sleep I actually hear my heart beating and it freaks me out so bad I can't fall asleep. All day I'm tired and a poor diet and no exercise doesn't add any help. I also feel like my left side is numb, is it? Or am I imaging these things. Sometimes when I walk I feel like I could drop any minute and it scares me so I'll lean up against something or sit down.
One other problem that has come up just in the last 2 weeks is severe heartburn and burping. The feeling that I can't get this big air bubble out of my stomach, I'm always burping.

Bless you.You know something, this sounds like me,there always seems to be something to worry about. You get over one symptom, sensation and then another pops its head out,its horrible.I would say that 99% of the time the illnesses we think are taking us are just sensations that we cause ourselves by over anylysing and focussing, thinking the worst.Think of all the times we have felt the end is nigh,we are still here aren't we.I have to tell myself this all the time, though i know its hard when you're in the midst of it.The breathing sensation is a scary feeling,i have noticed that when busy i will only notice it if i consciously think about it,docs would have found out if you had a serious prob there, easy for me to say lol, practce deep diaphramic and even breathing,i do this at night in bed and find a little comfort. Hang in there and good luck.

i am so sorry to hear you are suffering so deeply- this anxiety and panic has taken over so many peoples lives and destroyed them- i hope you can find some answers- it is just the most frustrating thing to live through except when you get to come to these boards and share stories with others that feel exactly the way you do and to help you realise you are not alone- never give up!
