Okay, I'm having an electrocardiogram sometime soon and I was just wondering if you are allowed to keep at least your bra on if you are a girl?

Just wondering because if I'm not I don't want to be too shocked when I find out at the hosptial...

Also, how long does it take?
Please answer! and Thanks!

I don't know the answer to the first question, being male.

But the answer to the question about how long it takes is roughly 10 minutes, 9 of which are used installing and removing the sensors on your chest and getting the leads to the sensors installed and removed.

I did not get to keep my Bra on for the Echo. I have had an Echo Twice (one was a Bubble) both times removed my bra for the test.

They do try to keep you a Little Covered With the Gown While Moving the Wand over your Chest.

My Tests were longer then 10 minutes. They were both about 30 minutes.

I just had an echocardiogram and I can guarantee you that you get to remove everything above the waist for that test and it takes 30 - 45 minutes.

But I understood that you were talking about an EKG.

Oops- Sorry I thought you had said a Echocardiagram.

My Ekgs that I have had- Some have you remove your bra...others dont care.

And yes, they are only about 10 minutes long.
