I've been experiencing heart pain along with feeling that when I burp it aleviates the pain somewhat. The pain is always located right at the top of the heart as if it was around the vein or aorta area. I have no pain or discomfort anywhere else. I get this pain daily once or twice a day. It's strange as I've never had this kind of pain nor have I had it go on for so long.
Any ideas as to what it could be ?

hi Terese, I don't think it's "heart pain" unless you've been diagnosed. Chest pain might be better. Again, I would ask what risk factors you have that could point to a heart problem. Without those risk factors the chances of "heart pain" are pretty unlikely unless you have an undiagnosed defect. Because is MIGHT be the heart, and the heart is so critical, you can't take risks and rely on an amateur diagnosis from here. So you need to get a DR to check it out. The feeling of a need to "burp" does occur with some heart pains, but you need to get it checked.

Thanks for the feedback will get it checked although I've got to say I hate this process as unless you have all the classic symptoms no one wants to take you seriously particularly if you're a woman. But I'll do my best. Thanks for taking the time to answer.

Hi Terese, I would try to find a caring women doctor. There will be someone who will listen and understand. In the first instance speak to your friends - and exercise your right to choose!
Best of luck, Beefy.

Hello, i have been getting a heart pain too. It happens usually during or after sport, but also just randomly through out the day. My heart seems to double beat really strongly for 1 or 2 seconds. I slightly feel out off breathe, and it has been worrying me lately as it is so frequant... Can anybody help me?
