Dear Members,
I am going to have an endoscopy of my kidney done. Recently I have had a cystoscopy of my bladder done ... and that was bad enough. The tube thingy pushed up my penis, 2 weeks ago, through my prostate and into my bladder .... went in and looked around...all reasonbly ok ... but the probe gave me a bad infection that to a degree has still not cleared up. I think the prescribed 5 day course, 2 tabs/day, of Ciprofloxacin has not worked as well as it normally does.
---
Anyway ... to my question ! I have searched the net for info on endoscopy of the kidney ... but to no avail. Whereas answers/advice on endoscopy/cystoscopy of the prostate and bladder ... are 10 a penny ... now why is that ?
My guess is that whereas the latter investigation is very common ... endoscopic investigation of the kidney is not ? Moreover, when I do find something it is to do with stones ... and not necessarily in the kidney ... stones in the easier-to-get-to ureter betwixt bladder and kidney ... so why the lack of info on kidney endoscopy ?
thank you in anticipation
